Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Weighbridge Brewhouse
Now called the Weighbridge Steakhouse & Bar, this place has now become more of a restaurant with beers than a bar with food.
The vast interior has a few features of interest, such as a transparent piano, but most diners (we were seemingly the only drinkers) were sat outside on fake plastic grass, enjoying the sunshine.
Real ale was restricted to Hophead & Proper Job. An interesting place that didn't quite hit the spot.

Brand new brewpub/restaurant situated in the old Archers brewery building, a good few minutes out of town. Going for the industrial heritage look, there’s a huge vaulted ceiling and massive exposed brick walls. There’s a large restaurant area to the left. To the right, past the impressive bar area, is a cast iron spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine level which has a nice drinking area overlooking the whole swoop of the ground floor. The mezzanine is also home to a transparent-panelled piano which looks like it gets tinkled regularly, miked-up as it was. Nice front garden with plenty of greenery. Dotted around are a few glass-fronted cabinets with many hundreds of bottles housed within. Also plenty of (mainly tasteful) objects d’art to admire. The impressive modern bar back and shiny curved tin bar top are quite a sight. Six ales on from the Brewhouse, with third paddle tasters available for an upmarket £3.80. We tried lot and were pretty impressed, only one under-par ale to be had. As to be expected in this sort of gaff, there’s lots of wine too. Despite the upmarket nature of the place I rather liked it here and would say it’s well-worth the walk.
