Uninspiring place that will cater for the lake visitors (of which there were a lot). No real ale - no return.

A square box, converted from a craft / gift shop. There are comfy seats all around the walls. There's also one of those stupid TVs showing flames halfway up one wall. There's a small bar facing you as you enter with the very boring selection of JS Smooth, Fosters, Stella & Strongbow, plus one of those Guinness can agitators. There's a small beer garden at the rear and a couple of tables by the roadside at the front. These would offer great views of the lake if the rowing club building didn't totally block it out. There was a couple sitting in one of the window seats drinking coffee when I arrived, but 3 more groups came in just after me. They all sat down at tables and waited to be served! They obviously think it's a cafe. I ordered a half of Fosters at the bar and had a bit of a look around, it didn't take long.
