Beaufort House, Chelsea, SW3

This pub dates back to at least the mid-19th century as the Roebuck which I recall from the mid-‘80s when Chelsea was home to some of London’s most iconic pubs, but sadly the area’s glory days are long gone, SW3 now being more of a glory hole.
This was a good pub as I recall, but photos show an utterly poncified multi-level cocktail bar – with private members’ club – which must have cost a fortune to do up; you can opt for afternoon tea should you so wish. Or hold your 'baby shower', whatever that is.
According to CAMRA there’s no real ale which is no real surprise.
I’ll cleave to my memories of this place from the past, thanks very much.
