Formerly known as the Queens Head and was built in the mid 1700's, originally a coaching inn. The pub was closed in 2010 and reopened as the Pub and Kitchen in 2012. The lounge area (formerly Beach's - a tailors shop next door), has chesterfield chairs and settees.
The bar area has 4 ales and houses ales from Cullercoats Brewery. I went for the Cullercoats Rocket Brigade and Lovely Nelly. Also indulged in their fabulous food.
