Soup Dragon left this review about Coalhouse
A detached restaurant, with small bar area (which is why i had it included on the site) and patio, on the beach front at Oxwich. The place is, or is on the site, of a former Victorian coal yard, hence the name, and is in rough stone and brick - with some modern wood panel. The interior is an L-shape, most of which is given over to the restaurant, however, there is a side area, with a few high stools and tables, which is classed as a bar (they say themselves that it is limited seating!). The decor is white and wood panel, with wood floor and with an open roof showing the truss beams. The TV wasn't on and the music general and at a soft level. I didn't see the menu, so can't comment on that. There are no real pictures on the walls, so it looks a little bare, but there are some ornaments. The service was fine and the clientele all eating, except me! Beer; all keg stuff, but real ale was in bottles. Tomas Watkin's 1879 lagar, Cwrw Bitter, Stella, Guinness and a local cider were on. I tried the cider and the lager, which were ok in the heat. Not a place i would head for, but the only place around and it did have a small bar area, although really a restaurant. I have been to far worse on beache areas - that claimed they were pubs!
