This is now an end-terrace building, with rear patio area. A self-styled cocktail bar and lounge. It has been on this site before, but was taken off. It once stood next to the hospital (1920s), although i can see no use for it as a pub until recently. It has a fake timber and white facade, with some brick and has black paintwork. The interior is now an L-shaped room, which is in white (some of which is painted rough brickwork), along with a high wite ceiling at the back. The front area has a red tile floor and the rear area (up a few steps), wood. There are no pictures. Seating consists of comfy chairs, high stools at high tables and some perimeter stuff. The music was charty, but at a decent level and the TV had images of a roaring fire, strangely. The service was fine and the clientele seemed to be younger based. Beer; well, it has a cocktail menu, but there are a couple of continental lagers (Peroni was one) and Doombar was available on handpull - but was fairly poor. A lounge it maybe, paradise it certainly isn't.
