A newish bar set in a building in the grounds of the Castle Green Hotel. The original building has been augmented by a conservatory-style extension on the front. and prospective customers have to make their way through diners in this area before reaching the bar at the back. There are four hand pumps, with three beers on at the time of my visit: Settle Attermire Session IPA, Watermill Windermere Blonde and Old School Hop Scotch, a pleasingly local(ish) selection. It was quite busy here on my early Saturday evening visit, and while it is not really my sort of pub, I applaud the intention with regard to stocking local ales and wish other Kendal pubs would follow suit.
