Called the Sweffling White Horse to distinguish it from several other White Horses nearby, including one in the next village, this roadside pub just outside the small village has recently reopened after a period of closure. Opening hours are restricted to evenings only, and just Friday to Monday, according to both their own website and the fairly permanent-looking notice affixed to the front wall of the pub. Certainly it was not open when I passed this way on a recent Wednesday afternoon; which is a shame, as their policy of "no keg" and concentration on locally produced beers is a refreshing one which deserves support. Maybe some other time...
