The Salamander was an estate pub that was situated quite close to the Struggling Man but on the opposite side of the road.
Once inside the pub had the usuall two room layout with a basic bar and a comfortable lounge,we had a drink in the lounge.
The pub was an Ansells tied house when we did it and there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Ansells mild which was a very nice well kept drink, the other beer was Ansells bitter.
This was a decent enough pub to have a few drinks in.
The pub is still standing but it is now a co op funeral parlour.
