The interior is well described by Blackthorn, below. It is very much a gin bar, though they have branched out a bit and now offer a few wines plus Keller Pils from the keg. The latter was very expensive and freezing cold. The staff were very pleasant, and they dealt well with stupid questions from entitled tourists while maintain a sense of humour with us. It’s a pleasant and atmospheric enough place to sit and escape from the world outside, but the lack of ale still means it’s not my kind of pub.

Blackthorn _ left this review about Canary Gin & Wine Bar
Not really a pub in the traditional sense, but much more of a wine and gin bar and consequently there were no draught drinks available. It’s a fairly small pub consisting of two interconnected bars with leaded windows looking out in to the small cobbled street.
The right hand bar has a black and red colour scheme, and the lighting was quite limited with most of the illumination coming from the various candles dotted around. Consequently it might well be described as gloomy. The left hand bar which also had the bar counter, was broadly similar although with more of a green colour scheme. Flooring is wooden boards and seating consists of high red plastic chairs in the window with some brown bench seating at the rear. Accessories included several large mirrors and an old radio set.
As previously mentioned, there were no draught drinks available, and a limited selection of bottles. I did note the cider was Marco Pierre-White’s The Guvnor or Weston’s Wyld Wood. I didn’t spot any bottled ales, but may have missed them. If Gin is your thing though, there are over 100 to choose from and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Prices seemed expensive though at £10.50 for a bottle of the cider and a gin & tonic.
