Klubhaus is a long laminate floored “Euro Bar” with lots of high tables at the front before the bar area where a long serving counter runs up the right-hand wall while facing banquette seating to the left. At the rear is a raised games area that houses four dartboards and four pool tables that were being used by the younger inhabitants of Grantham. Standard and premium European keg are available and after every order a big wheel on the back bar is spun to see if the customer has gained a discount of food, drink or the games at the rear. I ordered half a pint of fizz and after some noisy clickety-clacking I was awarded with some free pool or darts minutes. Yes that’s right, they charge these poor young souls for dartboard hire. There’s none of this technological wizardry that allows people to play anyone in the world over a video link, these are just bog standard dartboards. What an absolute con! There was modern chart music playing in the background and every single table in the building had dirty glasses on it. It really wasn’t busy enough to warrant the mess. Ultimately I think this place can be aptly summed up by “Die Drinks Menus” which are found on every dirty table. What a shithole.
