David Ross left this review about The Glenlee
A one room pub with table seating around the sides and stools at the unusual pentagonal bar. There is a pool table at one end and two TVs. The walls are decorated with, among other things, pictures of the late Celtic and Scotland football manager Jock Stein, one of Burnbank’s most famous sons. Caledonia Best (at £2.75 a pint), Tennent’s lager, Tennent’s light, Guinness and Magner’s cider are all available on draught. The whole place, though, has a rather dark and dingy appearance and my poor impression of it wasn’t helped by one extremely drunk customer being served a pint despite the fact that he could barely stand up. The Empire Bar, literally ten seconds away across the road, is a better bet.
