We have often tried to find the Monkey Tree (as we have always known it), but failed. Yesterday we were on a coach trip round cider farms to collect cider for Birmingham beer festival, and this was our final stop, and the coach almost went past. It looks from the road like a farm, so not a hostelry, but wow. I am not usually a cider drinker, but I really enjoyed the perry served from what is basically a large hatch in the farmhouse wall. Dry and medium cider available too. We piled into what appears to be a large shed with a farm kitchen type table and seating round the wall on three sides, and a lovely warm wood burning stove. It was great, and a must if in the area and you can find it. There is a car park and toilets, plus a garden with seating which will be great in the summer.
