A nice attractive 'brewers tudor' building though the interior has had a fairly unsympathetic makeover (though the straw thatched bar topper was interesting) and a lot of it seems like a DIY bodge job. As you enter the place splits in two round the central servery. Most of the locals were in the right side, however the ale pumps were in the fairly plain left side so off we trooped. Three on; Rev James, Exeter Avocet and Banks Mild (excellent nick). Also 4 ciders from Sandford Orchards, Lilleys Merry Monkey and Gwent Y Ddraig. There’s also a rear room with pool and darts and table football. I didn’t much take to the place as a venue but I can’t fault the quality of my beer (GBG16), so it’s worth a stop for that. 6.5
