One of several units along this stretch with decking and seating out front and then a thin inside space. The Spoon Inn has a bar in the right rear corner and thus the seating area is L shaped. The bar supports a single handpump that was being used as a blue roll holder. There is a limited premium and craft keg selection. Food is available, the burger costs £10. Friendly place but aimed more at students, not that this is bad, just not for me.

A cafe/tea bar but with 2 handpumps for real ale and a few fonts for crafty stuff. Only one handpump was on on this visit dispensing Ghost Brewery Wraith. The front window had strange abstract drawings on it. A front and rear patio for outside drinking and a small area to the rear called 'The Art Room'.

A very basic cafe bar with very minimalist decor with a few prints on the wall and not much else. The music was reggae/dub which is unusual, being played at a sensible volume. There's a beer patio at the front overlooking the busy Barlow Moor Road. There's also a massive tea & coffee menu but the saving grace are two handpumps on the bar which on my visit were serving a Salamander & a Hardknott beer. My pint of Salamander was in good nick and served by a friendly barmaid so I settled down with a paper (supplied by the bar) and listened to the music. Lot's of people will hate this place, but I quite liked it.
