A quick glance at the previous review from seven years ago tells me it's about time there was an update! This is definitely a pub, with the bar counter - a mix of stained wood and dark, brick shaped tiles - on the left and towards the rear. Five hand pumps - four cask beers and a Welsh cider - cement its credentials as a place for people who like a drink. (There are five keg taps and the bar back has plenty of whisky and wine.) I went for halves of the house beer, Haworth Willie Eckerslike (it's a dialect expression) and Great Newsome Pricky Back Ocham (so a dialect double, as this is what they call a hedgehog in the East Riding). Both beers came up a bit cold, but maybe my hands were warm from writing a review of the previous pub on my phone. Both clocked in at NBSS 3.5 and I was charged a modest £4 for the combined pint (not in the same glass, the same credit card transaction.) Definitely a pub for beer lovers and should not be missed

Reopened as the Haworth Steam Brewing Co in February 2017 it is now an interesting café / bar with a decent real ale and Gin menu. It’s a fairly small space internally with the interesting design bar facing you as you enter with four ale and one cider pump and then keg taps on a brewing pipe which goes above the pumps. This section has some tables and chairs and then the larger section to the right with its tartan bench seating is mainly used by people dining.
For our visit the breweries own WD Austerity and True Tyke was on alongside two other local Yorkshire brewery brews. Certainly a good addition to the more historical pubs in Haworth.

Previously called Gascoignes and has reopened under the above name. Nice enough place at the top of the Main Street but with no real ale above 4.2% on my visit. I would imagine this will change as the beers alter.
