Not really a pub, more an hotel with a decent restaurant, which sadly doesn’t serve any ales. It’s well laid out, the building is impressive, but there isn’t really a comfy bar area worth speaking off, and you certainly couldn’t bring in your dog. The glass of house wine I had with my meal was fine, not any more expensive than most pub wines. The meal was excellent, the staff very professional, and while I’d be happy eat here again (despite the 10% ‘discretionary’ service charge) or wine and dine, it’s not somewhere to come for a casual pint.
