Larger than it looks cafe bar, seating at various levels in the front area, the counter is at the back to the left with vertical drinking and a posing table. Six pulls with a couple from Beatnikz Republic, one each from Marble, Thornbridge, Manchester and another I forgot to record, 9 keg taps and a couple of keg ciders to boot. My Beatnikz Republic The Everyday was a bit tired but acceptable. There’s a bottled beer and spirits menu on each table, they each have a flower in a Belgian beer bottle as decor and a Belgian beer mat holder. Tiled and board floors, interesting art work, posters and brewery ephemera share the walls with projected film or TV.
Classy would be a good one word description.

Well described below, this is a modern, dark wood loaded, relatively minimalist sort of spot and the sister pub to the excellent Treacle Tap in Macclesfield.
Service was efficient and friendly with plenty of knowledge dispalyed regarding the beers on offer, of which there were many.
Our visit found Bristol Beer Factory Sorachi, Red Willow Wreckless, Bollington Bollington Best and Oatmeal Stout and Blackjack Mosaic Light on handpump. In addition there were 5 keg offers including beers from Marble Redwillow and Cloudwater.
A fine line up and all that we went for was in good shape although nothing demanded a session.
It being cask ale week an offer of 5 pints for £15 was on. Not bad.
Probably Congleton's best real ale spot and the first place I'd aim for.

See review below for full description. All in all, a very pleasant drinking space with a vast range of beers to choose from and various distractions. Just to update: now some 100 bottled beers and real ales include a mixture of local and far-flung examples. No darts or pool but bagatelle and shove ha'penny are available. Movie night is Wednesday.
