DV8 is a café bar found in a Grade II listed Tudor building which is a lot more interesting than the actual business. There’s seating in rooms to the left and right of a central arch that leads to a courtyard patio area. Some steps to the right lead up to the second floor, not visited, and the bar area is found to the left where eight premium and craft keg products are available. There’s also a long cocktail menu and the upcoming Valentines Day was heavily advertised whilst Adele played in the background.
The building feels like an old inn or stable, but the arch isn’t high enough to fit a horse. On the second floor facing into the courtyard above the arch is a door, so I imagine there used to be a pulley up there for deliveries. The service was friendly, but now I’ve seen the building I don’t plan on returning.
