The Distillery is a crap looking modern building which is next to an old church, what were derby's planners thinking when they let this be built.
Once inside there is a large oblong shaped room with the bar running down part of the left side, the floor is bare boarded, the room looked pretty bare with some tall tables and chairs to the front, high bench seating opposite the bar and more tall tables and chairs to the rear, plus a settee.
There were no real ales on the bar,no surprise there,i opted for a half of Heineken as a safe bet,it was rank.
There was background music playing to an empty room on a Saturday dinner,i was the only person in the room, the bar staff had got fed up and pissed off into a back room out of the way.
Expensive and crap come to mind when describing this pub.

This bar used to be Derby's La Tasca. Not that much has changed layout wise since. It's two floors with the upstairs floor being signed as a cocktail bar. There's a nice balcony up here, the only distinction from downstairs are a few fairy lights. Downstairs is a fairly rustic looking room with lots of dining tables and chairs. The outside area is pleasant and set back from the road. Pretty busy on my Saturday evening visit with the outside area full. No real ale, so I had a half of Krusovice, served in an Aspells glass FFS and costing a rip off £2.45. It's a pleasant looking bar, but it's pretty crap really.
