Yet another fancy pants bar selling "premium" drinks at overly inflated prices to people who enjoy that sort of thing.
This place tries to attract the more upmarket customers as reflected in their prices but instead can get a very loutish crowd as a consequence.
three real ales were on the bar on my visit with Doombar and Oakham Citra both costing £3.40 one was not in use . My Oakham Citra was very badly over conditioned and was returned. The barman was very reluctant to do anything and seemed confused with my criticism, i am guessing they don't get many people drinking their ales and thus rarely get people taking it back either, it was swapped for a Guinness.
Not my sort of place at all, too much of a modern (tacky) style trying to be fresh and exciting. it could have its purpose but not for me.

On our visit there were three handpumps on the bar and only one in operation. The ale that was on was Oakham Inferno at £2.75 a pint.

I first went in this pub on 16/7/2005 and there were no real ales on the bar things have improved a lot since then.
The Slug and Lettuce is part of the Corner House development and it is on foreman street where there are many bars.
The pub has got the usuall metal tables and chairs outside like all the other bars on this street,once inside there is a fairly long room that goes back quite a way the bar is on the right,there are some tall leather bench seats at the front and more comfortable tables and chairs towards the rear,there is also a raised area running down the left side of the pub.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Milestone Will Scarlet which was kept well enough but not to my taste,the other beers were Milestone Rasberry Wheat beer and Marstons Strisselsralt.
The pub had a good mixed crowd in and there was some decent music playing.
I quite enjoyed my time in here and would happily come back here again.
