Lazy Lizard is a small bar cum club that has regular live events throughout the week. It is located in amongst a plethora of small bars and cafes along the esplanade which all have café seating on the path out the front. The interior is very strange as there is some limited seating at ground level before some five or six steps that run up to more seating and the bar. The bar is located in the left hand side of the building where there is no furniture so standing room only. A couple of plasma screens were showing muted Olympics and there was some dance music playing during my early evening visit.
Unsurprisingly there is no ale here and the draught selection is standard. I found the service to be lacklustre and bordering on rude. I got the feeling that the young woman on duty thought that she was above serving the likes of me who is the wrong side of 30 for this venue.
There are some decent drinking establishments in Weymouth so I cannot see why I would ever return here.
