Aura is a long and thin sparsely furnished café bar that has recently been converted from an amusement arcade. Like the other bars along this stretch of the esplanade there are some café seats outside with views of the sea across the road. Inside there are five plasma screens that were showing the Olympics during my recent early evening visit. The bar is stocked with standard draught and is found at the rear of this bar. The toilets are located downstairs and as I was leaving a band was setting up for an evening set. I imagine that there is a late license.
I found the service to be friendly enough, but I prefer a proper pub where I can sit down.
