The Full Moon, Lower Rudge, Frome

A large, rambling village pub which has been extended and renovated to create a serpentine interior. There is a large car park There is some outside seating on a small terrace at the front and a much larger lawned garden at the rear. The series of small rooms inside, some with their own stone fireplaces, leads to the bar along a mix of stone and wooden floors. There is a fox hunting theme running through the pub, including pictures, a large selection of riding boots and accessories, and hunting-themed soft furnishings. The main bar has bar stools and table seating. They do reasonable pub grub at a fair price, and meals are also available for dogs. Only one ale on, Frome Brewery’s The Usual. There were a few kegs on as well, Peroni Grolsch, Meantine IPA, Devon Mist, Guinness, Kicking Goat and Coastline. It’ manages to be a good local and is popular with walkers and lycralouts. I’d be happy to come back.
