Alan Winfield left this review about The Railway
The Railway was a 60s brick built pub that was situated on the corner of oldfield road and liverpool street.
Once inside the pub had two rooms with a smart lounge and a more basic bar,we had a drink in the lounge and found it fairly comfortable.
When we went in this pub it was a Greenalls tied house nad there were two real ales on the bar we had a drink of Greenalls bitter which was decent enough but nothing special the other beer was Greenalls mild.
I photographed the pub at a later date when it had Whitbread signs outside.
This pub is still standing but is now in other use.
