Unashamedly old school pub just down from the station with a strangely low half-timbered ceiling which does not seem appropriate to the building. One long J-shaped room with a large open space near the bar and seating round the edges. At the back is a dartboard with a smaller pool room to one side. Ales on handpump were Wadsworth 6X and Old Speckled Hen.
