The Rum Shack is located down a footpath next to St Mary’s church and can be easily missed if one is not aware of its existence. It was very quiet during my recent Thursday evening visit and the few people that were in attendance were watching Olympic coverage on the large plasma screen that is found in a seating area to the right of the entrance. The lights were off in the left hand side of the pub as this is a live music venue and I visited on an evening when there was nothing going on. The service was friendly and the bar is stocked with standard draught.
I’m not a massive live music fan so I’ll not be rushing back here.
