A fairly average 'Spoons as described by others, below. It was fairly empty when we visited, mainly full of workers having a break. The multiple gaming machines were switched off and there was a pleasant calm atmosphere. The young staff were friendly and helpful, and table service was prompt and efficient. Ales on were Doombar, Abbott, GK IPA, Rye Brewery's Sleigh Ryed, and Bobbled Antler from Frome. I'd be happy to come back in and would include on a crawl.

Modern Spoons. Enter to a low ceilinged and fairly gloomy front area with a much lighter and nicer rear area with some tasteful modern decor including a fire. There's a lack of soft furnishings which makes the place cacophonous and the shrieks from a couple of particular women who'd been on the sauce since opening made me wince. You’d assume it’d mainly be students here but there was also an impressive smattering of meatheads by the front door. Three guest ales, my Frome Tarantula Juice was a very nice strong hoppy number in great shape (NBSS 4). Slow service via the app. The beer quality means I’d poke my nose back in again but I could take it or leave it as a venue. 6.5

Fairly typical medium-sized Wetherspoon's, which has a small low ceilinged part at the front but opens out into a nicer room behind. Tables outside at front also - one side smoking and one side not. Range of beers was passable if not over exciting but condition seemed good. Could generally be described as 'adequate'.
