Cask offering the basic one of Doom Bar and Brains SA. Keg range of Cruz, John Smiths, Original SB, Carling, Moretti, Guinness, Neck Oil and Inch’s cider.
Probably 12 years or so since I was last in this village pub that had a good food reputation that would make it super busy at weekends. Here on a quiet Thursday late afternoon. The bar counter is to the left of the entrance, the pub is bare boarded apart from a nice mosaic tiled skirt around the wooden fronted servery and leading to the respective toilets like some sort of convenience yellow brick road. There are a few stools at the bar counter. The rest of the inside is bare boarded. The area to the right of the entrance has regular tables and chairs laid for diners. The area to the left of the entrance had a fabric banquette fitted around the front bay window and there are several regular tables and chairs for drinkers, some behind a set of large stone pillars running down this side of the pub. On the left-hand wall there is a door leading out to the rather large, paved area on two levels housing a number of picnic style benches, but even on a sunny late afternoon, hardly a picturesque beer garden!
