Blue is a bar located just off the high street that opens daily at 16:00 and closes at 01:30 every day except Sundays when the doors close at midnight. Standard draught, cocktails and shooters are available from the bar on the right hand wall, but unfortunately their license stipulates that plastic drinking vessels must be used. There are a couple of plasma screens, but I think that these are used to show music videos as there are no Sky Sports advertisements. There is a flight of stairs that lead up to an area at the rear that overlooks the bar and houses a pool table and dartboard. Live music and DJs can be found here at the weekend and the background music playing during my recent Saturday evening visit had a modern student vibe.

I think that I’m the wrong side of thirty to properly appreciate this bar so I’ll not be returning.
