Soup Dragon left this review about The Ship Inn & Atlantic Bar
A large corner pub, bar and restaurant with an art deco twist - it has the look of a passenger deck on a ship. It is in red and white and has an outdoor patio area.
A walk through the front door offers you a choice - the Atlantic bar and restaurant to the right and the Ship inn to the left. The Bar was actually closed, opening in the Summer period with entertainment etc, so we headed into the Ship Inn. This room had a large L-shaped room with a family area at the back. We headed there, where we found TVs and general music at a decent level. There is a raised area between the adult and family sections that i believe is used as a stage area. The decor was a real mix of red and cream, flowery wallpaper etc and patterned carpets. The walls had art deco posters - many of ships and there were art deco lampshades. There were a couple of dart boards and a pool table. The place did food but we didn't eat. The service was functional and the place was very busy with many regulars it seemed.
Beer; no real ale and an M&B Mild tap that yielded nothing - i had a bottle of Newcy Brown.
The review was written several months back. A run-of-the-mill place.
