A pleasant rambling old pub, with lots of beams and random rooms reaching back to a games room at the rear. One of those pubs which feels lived-in and welcoming as soon as you go through the door. Cask Marque listed with Butcombe and Doombar on offer at time of visit. Seems to be family-friendly, with food in some sessions including Saturday breakfast. Also has music, open-mike nights and other distractions. Handy for Pannier Market (mainly craft stuff) on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
