Alan Winfield left this review about The Crowthorn
The Crowthorne is a fairly large looking bare brick built pub, that is set in the back streets.
Once inside the pub had two seperate rooms, there was a decent sized bar which had bench seating and normal tables and chairs, the lounge was carpeted and looked smarter.
The pub was a John Smiths tied house at the time of my visit, there was one real ale on the bar which was John Smiths bitter which was on handpump, this was a nice drink.
I quite enjoyed having a drink in this pub.
