A rather over-modernised pub which needs to develop some character. The main bar, which features pool and darts, is not too bad, with stonework and beams, but the other bar is rather empty and the dining room at the rear is positively spartan. Also boasts a large sun terrace on top of an extension behind, but again with limited furniture. Beers include one or more from the Forge Brewery just down the road. Food is adequate but not exceptional; music was intrusive during our visit. A shame really, as it could easily be the best of the three pubs in the village.
