Will Larter left this review about The Railway
Approaching this pub with its Old Mill brewery signs, my initial thought was to just have a half of whatever (to cleanse my palate after the visit to the Golden Fleece) before catching my train back to Sheffield from the nearby Berry Brow station. One look at the six pumps on the bar had me contemplating missing the train altogether. (See photos.) In the end I settled for a half of Thirst Quencher from Spitting Feathers, which was in superb condition and really hit the spot. Service was friendly and welcoming, and although the pub was quietish, I was assured that the "happy hour" crowd had not long since dispersed. This is one to return to, but note that weekday opening is at 4pm, weekends at midday.
