The former Swans pub is now an Italian restaurant/café/bar. Despite its imposing appearance, the interior has been turned into a sort of Mediterranean rustic effect and is not publike at all. There is still a bar in the first room, which is fitted with half-moon banquettes, with a larger room laid out with tables up a step. No real ales, although it does have Budweiser Budwar alongside the keg Peroni, and bottles of Otter under the counter. Possibly a good Italian restaurant but it is not really geared up for drinkers, which is not surprising in view of the prices, especially compared to the cheap price of beer elsewhere in the town.
