The Clarence Hotel was situated towards the bottom end of alfreton road.
This was a very basic pub that had a few different rooms,i usually had a drink in the bar which was very basic and down to earth.
This pub used to be a Shipstones tied house and there were two real ales on the bar with Shipstones bitter and mild being very nice drinks.
This pub is still standing and it as still got its signs outside but it is now operating as a bed and breakfast.
