A blocked staircase now means a trip to the toilets is a Wetherspoons style hike. The service is extremely good and the beer choice and quality remains high as is typical for a Pivovar establishment.

An L shaped bar on corner of Pavement and Piccadilly. It has an Ossett-like white tile and tongue & groove interior with a soupçon of exposed brick here and there. There's an open kitchen at the back- it's more foody than most in the Pivovar chain. Mostly tables and chairs, there are some high tables and wide shelves with stools - their license limits standing customers. Eight pulls of beers familiar to the York Tap etc, a good range of craft kegs and the usual beer from Bernard, I didn't notice any fridges but there almost certainly will be some well stocked ones. Busy due to location but the staff are spot on. Many women and amateur drinkers as clientele so it's a bit different from others in the group perhaps due to the food emphasis but the same high quality applies.

Modern cafe bar from the Pivovar group with a clutch of craft and some good cask ales. Not unpleasant and the 6 handpumps offered TT Landlord and Landlord Dark along with brews from Bristol, Fyne and Tapped, plus a Lilleys Cider.

Always worth a look in here, as they do have a good selection of well kept ales across 6 handpumps. Five ales and 1 cider on our visit, TT Landlord x 2, Oakham Citra, Vocation Rare Breed and Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout. We went for the Vocation which was good and priced at £3.70 a pint, not too bad for the centre of town. The large opening windows were also an advantage on a warm day, also good for watching the world scurrying by.
