Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Chequers
Plain building, but stands out slightly from its stone-built neighbours because of its red brick construction. Traditional two bar layout, but with the public bar converted to restaurant use. The lounge bar - very dark due to the minimal window area - has modern furniture and decor and has been extended with an informal dining area at the back. Separate function suite. Patio to rear. Two of three handpumps in operation, offering Abbot and Old Speckled Hen (£2.80).
