Alan Winfield left this review about The Woodpecker
The Woodpecker is an estate pub that looks like two seperate buildings but the pub was probably built like this.
The pub looks like it was built in the 60s and it is in the woodhouse park area of Wythenshawe.
Once inside the pub was quite smart and comfortable, there were two largish rooms and i had a drink in the bar which was a decent enough room to have a drink in.
When i visited this pub it was a Bass tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Worthington bitter which was on handpump, this was quite a nice drink.
I think this pub is still up and running.
