We didn't get to visit the Beehive on our Friday afternoon visit, as it opens at 5pm. The micropub named the Honeypot at the back did open at 3pm, so a visit to the Honeypot was an excellent choice. The Honeypot consisted of a red brick and timber frame out building with a tiny courtyard entrance, with a small single roomed bar behind a pair of glass fronted double doors. It was also great to meet up with Steve the manager, who also runs the Angels micropub in Belper, along with his little dog Lottie. Five handpumps serving BG Sips, Crouch Yale Yakima, Titanic Plum Porter, Falstaff Good Bad and the Drunk, and Bass. I went for the Blue Monkey BG Sips, which was in excellent condition, as you'd expect from such a good landlord. Steve has run the Honey Pot along with the Beehive for the last 25 years.
