The Cotton Tree was a small Chesters house that had seen better days by the time i got round to visit it.
Once inside i went in a smallish room at the front of the pub this was more like a bar and was fairly basic but comfortable enough.
The pub was a Whitbread tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Chesters mild and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Whitbread Trophy bitter.
I enjoyed having a drink in this old pub,but it has now sadly been pulled down during the regeneration of the Ancoats area.
