The Royal Oak is a small stone built pub that is on the main Matlock to Alfreton road.
Once inside i went into a nice room that was comfortable and also quite smart,i am not sure if there are any other rooms in this pub.
When i went in this pub it was a Kimberley tied house and there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Kimberley bitter which went down very well,the other beer was Kimberley mild.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub.
There is an hourly bus service from Matlock to Alfreton which passes this pub.
