Very much a restaurant with a bar area, I'd guess at an 80/20 dry to wet split. The three cask beers are predictable but well kept; Black Sheep, Theakstons and Taylor's with occasional Walls from nearby Northallerton if you're asking. Nicely decorated in restrained Laura Ashley and with some nice prints etc, there is however a display of pump clips on the beams around the bar area. There is also a collection of novelty tea pots in one corner which is nice rather than twee. The service is very good and the bar area is not unwelcoming. I would also recommend the food as Mrs OB drove me there on condition I bought her dinner.
