CLOSED Armley pub on the main road a few miles out of Leeds centre.The pub has a blue plaque to honour the Landlord Samuel Ledgard(1874-1952)who was in charge from 1896 till 1952.Samuel was renown for being the private operator of The Samuel Ledgard bus and coach service in West Yorkshire.He also owned a brewing and bottling plant which was in premisis,and also a garage proprietor,quarry owner,haulage contractor and caterer to Royalty and the Nobility.The pub is now an Indian Restaurant.
