Some pubs still have "hotel" in their name as a memento of a previous life as a hotel. but that's not the case here - this one is a hotel, pure and simple, and not a pub. It does have a bar - a lounge I would call it, which is the epitome of a hotel lounge - that is open to non residents. There's no real ale here, although there is some reasonable bottled beer, including Dorking No 1; Goose Island Honkers; Curious IPA; and Peroni Gran Riserva (6.6%). There were some lagers on tap, but nothing worth noting down. As it's a hotel lounge bar table service is available, as is food of course. It's obviously expensive as well. I don't think there's much point in coming here just for a drink unless you happening to be staying at the hotel, as I was.
