Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Spitfire
New-build Shepherd Neame pub, fittingly named not only after one of its best-known beers but also harking back to the wartime West Malling airfield now occupied by the ever-expanding Kings Hill development. Large, 'L'-shaped bar with an additional seating area at one end and a dining room at the other (both slightly raised). There are also a few small tables out front in the shopping precinct, but a sizeable patio / artificial grass beer garden (and children's play area) can be found at the back. Disappointingly, only Whitstable Bay Pale and the seasonal Early Bird (£4.35) were available from the bank of five handpumps, although perhaps the others had run out on the preceding sunny royal wedding day?
