Alan Winfield left this review about Claremont Hotel
The Claremont Hotel is a very large pub that is in the old part of moss side and it was quite close to Manchester Citys old maine road ground.
This is a grand looking pub from the outside with pillars outside the main entrance, once inside there were a couple of rooms i went in the bar which was basic and had a very rough edge to it,this pub is a Joseph Holts tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Holts bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Holts mild.
When i went in this pub it had a very rough reputation, this may have improved since my visit all those years ago.
This pub is still up and running.
