Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Druid Inn
One of two pubs in the Peak District village of Birchover. It re-opened on March 8th after a period of closure.
As you enter, there is a bare boarded area off to the left and a tiled bar area to the right. The bar itself is straight ahead. There are wood burners at either end. Just one was on for our visit. There is a large screen TV above the fireplace in the bar, along with some board games on a shelf to the side. Pictures of the local area can be found on the walls. A further unoccupied room could be found around the corner to the left.
The bar has 4 handpulls. Two of the beers are from Peak Ales - Chatsworth Gold & Bakewell Best Bitter (badged as Druid's Drop) with the third being Bradfield Farmer's Blonde, leaving the fourth handpull unclipped. Ciders were Aspall's & Hawkstone Cider. A cabinet at the end of the bar was stocking some warm sausage rolls and pasties. It wasn't clear if they were doing proper meals. Service from the young barman was friendly and he was knowledgeable about the beer. Cash is preferred.
With the TV off for our visit, music was playing quietly. Wifi is available and both children and dogs are allowed in. There is a large car park which we somehow missed the entrance for. There is a small amount of outdoor seating too.

This is a stone built pub which is quite smart inside i think this pub does quite a lot of food trade.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Leatherbritches Druids Ale which was probably an house beer there was also Leatherbritches Hairy Helmet and Dark Star Old chestnut.
We thought this was a decent pub but if you are unsure on your legs its a bit of a walk from the car park and up quite a few steps to get to the pub.
