The Crossbush is a Beefeater run pub next to a Premier Inn so I expect that it opens early for the famous all you can eat Premier Inn breakfast. Unsurprisingly there is a large car park for pub goers and hotel guests. Picnic tables can be found around the exterior of the pub, but the location next to the busy A27 is not the most idyllic for alfresco drinking.
The interior of the pub consists of a bar area to the left and a couple of dining areas to the right in the bulk of the pub. I also spotted some stairs by the entrance that lead down to another area, but I did not investigate on this occasion. In the bar area there is a flat screen television that was airing muted rolling BBC News. This TV is located on the chimney breast of a fireplace that was loaded with logs ready for the onset of winter. The background noise was of the Muzak variety. Available from the bar was a standard keg range alongside San Miguel. I also noted two hand pumps that were both drawing Fuller’s London pride. My visit with the family in tow was on Saturday lunchtime last week so we were able to take advantage of the lunch bar menu. A range of dishes for £5.99 hit the spot. I gleaned from a quick glance at the main menu that the full price dishes start at around £10.
I found the service to be very polite, but the wait for food was longer than it should have been considering the pub was not very busy. The piped Muzak made the wait seem longer!

It's a Beefeater and I'm not the biggest fans of Beefeater pubs, but this done a job. Staff were great and food was good. Clientele were fine, apart from maybe one exception, and although I would never have come here if I wasn't camping next door, I can't knock it
